Springriver Resort - Ban O

The bungalows at Springriver Resort were beautifully decorated with natural, rustic elements. The staff were thoughtful, ensuring accessibility with well-maintained paths, made moving around the hotel easy for seniors.

Additional seating near the shared bathrooms would help.

Loved its extremely friendly and absolutely friendly staff.

The hotel had a nice restaurant with a very good chef. Was an amazing base for trip.

The units are well-equipped, fabulous with view over the lagoon and private bathrooms.

It was the best of Ban O hotels I visited before now. Nice hotel, everything was amazing. The setting was perfect and exceptionally nice, really close to the blue lagoon which was very natural and peaceful and the beautiful Konglor Cave.

Perfect and good location - a few steps away from everywhere we needed. Got the same fantastic and exceptional room with view over the lagoon booked online, greatly enjoyed that. The staff was really friendly, some of the best in Ban O.

Why it's almost great (but not quite)

The tranquil riverfront setting is amazing,. The food is delectable-some of the best I've encountered in Laos over my travels.

The shared bathrooms require a bit of a trek, which can be inconvenient after a long day of exploring. If you're a light sleeper, the noise from nearby guests may disturb your peace.

The amazing views of the river and surrounding jungles surpassed my expectations. The shared bathrooms were super clean, and the food at the restaurant was great, especially the laap.

Consider bringing earplugs for a restful night's sleep, as communication from neighboring bungalows can be heard easily.

We explored Kong Lor Cave and relaxed at the beautiful blue lagoon. The food here was delicious and really affordable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely a spot worth staying at for a taste of nature and a cozy vibe!

One downside was the distance to the shared bathrooms, which could be a trek if you're not prepared. It wasn't a huge issue, but be ready for a little walk!

great views but mattress discomfort

The staff provided really good service, organizing our transport with ease. The food was a good surprise. Every meal reminded me of a feast with a great selection. I particularly enjoyed the fine garden view that offered a tranquil backdrop to our stay. The scenery surrounding the resort was amazing. Waking up to it each morning was a treat.

Just wow! The location is amazing, right by a calm river surrounded by lush jungle. I loved chillin' on the private terrace, soaking up the views. The staff is the best, super friendly and always there to help. The restaurant serves amazing meals, but you might find it a bit pricier than expected.

A true hidden gem with amazing staff

The location feels like a hidden paradise, surrounded by nature, and the views from the restaurant are amazing. The staff were really good too ensure my experience was enjoyable, even arranging a personal guide for my cave exploration. The only downside was that I wished I could have extended my stay to enjoy more of the beautiful surroundings.
